Raw Apple cake

Two steps for making the perfect cake: Raw Dough:

  • 1 cup flaxseeds

  • 1/2 cup dates

  • 2 ripe bananas (the riper the better)

  • 1 tbsp agave syrup

  • 1/2 tsp clove powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder

  • 1 apple

Filling:

  • 4-5 medium apples (shredded)

  • 1 tbsp agave syrup

  • 1/2 cup raisins

Start by soaking your dates and flaxseeds for about an hour. Be sure not to add too much water to your seeds or rinse them in a colander before use to not to add too much moisture to your dough. It will otherwise take longer to dry. Once soaked, blend all the dough ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth. Spread your dough on a teflex dehydrator sheet, use the whole sheet to spread it thinly. Dehydrate for about 4 hours. You can flip the dough for the last 1-2 hours to dry from the other side. Prepare your lling by shredding the apples and then blending them with the rest of the ingredients in a bowl. Cut your dough in half and fill it with your apple mixture. Put in the dehydrator for cca 2 more hours. Enjoy warm!
